The main objective of this course is to improve the academic success of students by

teaching them effective learning strategies. Students will: 1.Acquire knowledge about

how we learn and remember information 2.Develop problem-solving and self-advocacy

skills 3.Develop strategies for identifying and assessing learning needs, especially areas

needing development 4.Apply a variety of strategies to learning through direct

instruction and guided practice 5.Apply adaptive technology, where appropriate, to

support learning.
